Temple of Yoga takes the security and privacy of its clients’ data seriously.

This privacy policy is intended to provide you with key information about Temple of Yoga’s use of your personal data as required under the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’).

Security of your personal data

Temple of Yoga is a small business with a big heart. We aim to share the practice of yoga for the benefit of our valued clients and give back to charitable causes.

We employ reasonable technical, administrative and physical safeguards to protect your personal data commensurate with our limited resources as a small enterprise with a social conscience.

Temple of Yoga does not have access or visibility of any financial account information that you provide when you become a member or when you purchase a class pass with us.

Bookings are currently taken through BookWhen and payments are made via Stripe. BookWhen and Stripe are third party companies that are not connected with Temple of Yoga.

We ask our valued clients to consult the privacy policies of BookWhen and Stripe independently of this policy for personal data collected by these third parties. Temple of Yoga does not take payment from our valued clients directly.

Becoming a valued client of Temple of Yoga

By signing the waiver when you purchase a class pass or become a member at Temple of Yoga, you agree to us holding personal data about you as more particularly set out in this privacy policy.

By becoming a member or purchasing a class pass, you agree to receive email notifications confirming information on your purchases, bookings, class reminders, pass expirations and any cancellations you may make.

If you would like to receive further information from us, such as our newsletter, we ask our valued clients to positively opt in to receive this. All our valued clients can opt out at any time by unsubscribing to the emails that they receive from us.

Our approach to communications

If you have actively opted in to receive further information from us, you will receive our newsletters with special offers, updates, event invitations and more. We greatly value our clients. We do not therefore wish to spam their inboxes.

Your personal data

Temple of Yoga stores the following information about its valued clients:

Information that you provide during any voluntary and/or mandatory registration processes for booking class and/or signing up as a member including, but not limited to, your:
- name, email address, phone number, relevant payment card information and/or geographic location.
Information about your attendance in class and/or your membership status.
Payment information that you provide to us through Temple of Yoga’s chosen online booking software and/or otherwise when you purchase Temple of Yoga’s products or services, including payment card data.
Any personal data in connection with your medical history as more particularly disclosed by you as being relevant to your yoga practice.
Your IP address, which will be recorded by Temple of Yoga’s chosen web server (Wix) when you use our website.

Such information will be stored by Temple of Yoga, including where it is provided by you our online booking software (BookWhen).

How your personal data is used

Temple of Yoga does not and will never share or sell your data to third parties for commercial gain.

Temple of Yoga does not collect data on members or potential members from third parties.

From time to time, we may use your data to identify trends in popularity of our classes and membership levels to better gauge interest in our services and improve the timetabling and type of classes offered. We may also use your personal data to provide special offers to you if you have opted to receive email notifications.

As a valued client, you have the right to withdraw consent for Temple of Yoga to hold your membership data by cancelling your membership or not renewing your class passes and requesting that we delete your personal data.

Your personal data will never be disclosed without your consent unless such disclosure is necessary to ensure the ongoing health of you or another valued Temple of Yoga client, required or authorised by law, reasonably necessary to enforce the law and/or necessary to investigate a suspected activity that is prohibited by law.

Photography and recordings

From time to time, photos and/or videos may be taken and used by Temple of Yoga in our promotional materials on- or offline. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please let us know so that we can ensure that you are not photographed or filmed.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that are downloaded to your computer when you visit our website and others. They prevent you from having to provide information on subsequent visits to our site, for example, relating to your preferences.
